Episode 23: Let's Split the Cost (w/ special guest Matthew Bordenave)
Season 2 kicks off with a guest host and honorary 5th member for this episode Matthew Bordenave! With a resume as a storyboard artist that ranges from the newest DC Universe show Young Justice Outsiders, Flashpoint Paradox, Ultimate Spiderman, The Dark Knight Returns, and one of David’s favorites, Moon Beam City.
Matthew runs us through a typical process of an animated series, from inspiration, script writing, character design, and everything in between that creates some of our favorite moments in animation.
Also, we do another trailer play by play, this time with two back to back trailers; Spiderman Into The Spiderverse and Dark Phoenix. As usual we all have a lot of thoughts and opinions.

Then, the moment we've been so hyped for since Nick Fury disappeared but not before breaking out his circa 95 pager, our first look at the Captain Marvel trailer. As a podcast first, we do a play-by-play of the trailer along with some analyzing of things we might have missed on the first watch.

EPISODE 21: OUR TOP 5 NON-MCU/DCEU COMIC BOOK FILMS
It's a Snyder-fest! Not really but we do breakdown each of our top 5 comic book films that are NOT MCU or DCEU. The lists are both surprising and nostalgic as we find out which of our favorite films growing up originated as comics or graphic novels.
Plus, Julien breaks down some of the new Captain Marvel details following the first look images, We discuss the pros/cons of a Popular Film Oscar category, and finally Jazen gives us his hot take on a Big Trouble in Little China reboot/sequel.
EPISODE 20: THAT MAN CAN RUN
What do MISSION IMPOSSIBLE and THE DARK KNIGHT have in common? We have no idea but thats what we ended up discussing in our latest episode! After a lengthy review with 3 out of the 4 of us (Jazen's review was stuck in 1996) we break down what made Mission Impossible Fallout one of the best of the franchise. Leading into a Dark Knight 10 year retrospective we quickly dive in and discuss our favorite moments, our nitpicks, and fond memories of the hype back in 2008.
News Bites are filled with a quick review of friend of the podcast Super Duper Kyle's latest Netflix movie The After Party trailer, we discuss Batwoman casting, and much more
EPISODE 19: THAT ONE WEEKEND IN SAN DIEGO
The boys write a thank you card to comic con, the most sacred weekend of our year. We run through some trailers that could save the entire DC UNIVERSE. A couple of drunken antics and a heavy topic we still manage to not take too seriously. Find out who charmed our lanyards off on this episode of Nerds at the Cool Table

EPISODE 18: QUANTUM IT'S IN EVERYTHING
Finally sober and full of Pym particles we power through another episode. Ant-Man and the Wasp is first up as we break down the sweet dessert Marvel dished up post-Infinity War. We introduce a new segment this episode as we divide the workload because who has time to watch so much media every week; Youssef and David discuss Sicario 2 aka Dora the Explorer Fights the Cartels, while Julien and Jazen talk Luke Cage Season 2 and ask why Luke Cage dabbed. Also more news bites, pre-gaming SD Comic-Con, and we once again struggle to figure out how to properly pronounce Djimon Honsou's name out loud.
EPISODE 17: THE AMAZING LAS VEGAS COMIC CON
Hungover and battling a violent heat, we survive Vegas strong enough to deliver a JAM PACKED episode that sounds like the most random crossover; Whatever you would call when you put together Thanos, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Blade, The Green Ranger, and Shatterstar; thats what this episode is. We succesfully navigate our first Comic-Con in Las Vegas as an official podcast like champs (sorta)
EPISODE 16: CUT THE CHECK
This week, we update you guys on where we’ve been going and what we’ve been watching, Youssef takes credit for reviving Gargoyles and Jazen makes a Hail Mary case for Tales from the Crypt....are we running out of ideas? Or simply evolving??? You decide! Also we eat Chick-fil-a and have a moment of silence for a fallen legend.
EPISODE 15: RAP GAME INFINITY WAR
Deadpool 2! Solo: A Star Wars Story! We review both films back to back, but first we weigh in on the long time bubbling rap beef between Drake & Pusha T as we recorded this episode literally less than an hour after Pusha T used a couple of Infinity Stones on Drake (aka dropping The Story of Addidon)
Jumping into Solo we discuss its place among the current crop of Star Wars films being produced under the umbrella of Disney. We talk likes, dislikes, and our collective minds piece together a possible secret trilogy within these prequels.
We then debate the merc with a mouth's latest cinematic outing; Deadpool 2. Did Ryan Reynolds pull it off a second time? Our opinions are very divided as we chip away at the latest film in Fox's X-Men universe.
EPISODE 14: CARTOONS "R" US
Fox Kids, Disney Afternoon, Kids WB, Toonami, and every cartoon block we grew up with in the 90s! We dig deep and break down our favorite comic book animated series. From Batman to the classic and iconic X-Men the Animated series, and all the way to underrated ones like Spawn and the Incredible Hulk.
Also, we revisit the terms of our ongoing Black Panther/Infinity War box office bet, discuss the state of art appreciation in the age of non-stop content, discuss DC's upcoming streaming service, and continue theorizing Infinity War after our multiple viewings.
EPISODE 13: DESTINY ARRIVED AND WONG DIPPED
Avengers Infinity War! We finally regroup to sit down and discuss the colossal 10 years in the making cinematic giant, after a heavy two weeks of post-Coachella recovery.
A back and forth talk about our favorite moments, theories, reactions, and individual theater experiences. If you haven't seen Infinity War yet stay far away from this conversation until you have, SPOILERS ALL OVER this episode.

Farewell Meltdown! Episode 11 calls for a heart felt goodbye to our first recording home, then on a brighter note we sink our teeth into a trailer that was probably better than a few feature films we can name, with theories and speculations galore regarding Infinity War. A high stakes bet gets thrown on the cool table regarding Black Panthers box office throne. Disneyland figures out new ways to rob us blind via ticket sales and we plot to break into secret parts of the park. Finally we pry intrusively into your favorite hero’s bank account...find out who’s card is getting declined!!
EPISODE 10: OUR TOP 5 MCU FILMS
Episode 10 calls for some kind of milestone, so we marked it with Top 5 countdown of each of our favorite MCU films in the 10 year long history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With Infinity War looming closer and closer, and Black Panther already out in the wild, it felt only appropriate that we decide on our favorites in anticipation of the final battles the cinematic Marvel heroes will face come the end of Phase 3.
Plus, we discuss where is the final Infinity Stone and why it probably is still in Wakanda, why Spider-Woman might be a great Spiderman villain, and why Tom Cruise should/should NOT be Hal Jordan.
